In the case of Michael Jackson, it is rumored (and I want to stress that nothing has been stated as fact when attributing any drug or drugs to his sudden death as of yet), a particular drug has been brought up that is absolutely horrifying and hard to even imagine as something that may have contributed to his death. 
The drug, Diprivan, is a Propofol variant. It's painful when injected and is generally administered after pre treatment with Lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Propofol can cause cardiac arrest when used in combination with narcotic painkillers or in excessive quantities and is only available in hospitals. This is used during surgical procedures under controlled conditions and given by highly experienced individuals who are members of the medical profession.
